The aim of the project is to identify critical raw materials for individual economies and comparing them in the V4 Group. It is very important to recognise and systematize crucial raw materials in order to secure the supply chain for the future. PL is a country rich in raw materials, however there is a limited number of their sources, origin and supply. Moreover, such materials will be necessary for the development of new technologies in the next 10 years. The JSW in EU is the largest producer of coking coal, which is one of the 27 critical EU raw materials. Other V4 countries have other raw materials which are significant for the European economy. During the meetings all partners will demonstrate their activities and experience in identifying critical raw materials. During the last workshop, experts, scientists and business representatives from V4 countries will formulate common conclusions regarding these issues. The summary of this international cooperation will be the publication of a good practice report constituting a white paper in the area of critical raw materials. The prepared material will be presented at the international conference summarizing this initiative in PL. It is worth adding that jointly developed conclusions in the field of research and technology will be able to be used at various levels at regional, national or international (European dimension). In addition, joint implementation of the project will strengthen the projects' impact on its beneficiaries, i.e. the local comm., entrepreneurs and academic centers from the V4 countries.
The implementation of the project will be a step to enhance regional cross-border relationships & cooperation between the V4 nations implementing Innovation in the field of raw materials and also politics of circular economy. The improvement of such management is still a challenge for many countries, however it contributes not only to reducing the impact on the environment but also to ensuring the security of raw materials and energy supply. Awareness-raising initiatives combined with cross-border field of management, Innovation and networking possibilities have a potential to build consortium and cooperation with technical universities and enterprises in the region.
